Experts assume the animals sensed the tsunami and fled to higher ground hours before the wall of water struck. Mankind is really still only making baby steps in terms of communicating with animals. For the most part, their language remains a mystery to us. Having said that, Sri Lanka — when every member of the animal kingdom bolts past you at ninety miles an hour in bleating, frantic terror to the highest elevation possible?
