A TRIBE UNTOUCHED.

In Search of the Elusive Tobatu
in the Heart of the Savage Jungle

Being a Factual Account in Eight Epic Parts.

"Land in a swamp, march through the woods, and in some inland post feel the savagery, the utter savagery, had closed round him -- all that mysterious life of the wilderness that stirs in the forest, in the jungles, in the hearts of wild men."
-Joseph Conrad
Heart of Darkness

What follows is a harrowing tale; I warn you of this outright. The levels of harrow in this story are great and menacing. In the summer of last year, I used a portion of my considerable inherited fortune to charter a trip to Brazil. My intention was to claim the honor of being the first person ever to make contact with the elusive Tobatu, the last undiscovered tribe of the Amazonian jungle. The adventure that followed took me deep into the savage pounding heart of the rainforest, where I risked life and limb to bring you the tale of my bravery.
